What's the Worst Severna Park Intersection?

Are there certain intersections around town you try and avoid?

Last Friday, Patch reported that roadwork would soon begin on Veterans Highway, north of Benfield Road in Millersville, as crews start to install a left turn lane.

The turn lane is being built to help ease congestion from drivers turning left into the Dunkin' Donuts and Maritime Carwash. Studies have shown that the backup in this intersection is often a hazard for drivers.

The construction plan, as well as two recent accidents—including a fatal one—has stirred up some conversation about the most dangerous intersections around Severna Park.

Personally, I find the intersection at Ritchie Highway and Robinson Road to be extremely tricky. The turn lane at the light to make a left onto Robinson Road is too short and often leads to congestion and backups.

Driving down McKinsey Road, between Route 2 and Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard, can also be difficult to navigate with drivers turing in and out of the shopping centers, library and gas station.

What other intersections around Severna Park do you think are dangerous or tough to navigate? Tell us in the comments.
