Featured Pet: Samantha

Maryland Animal Sanctuary and Rescue (MAS) is delighted to appear in the Severna Park Patch and introduce you to some of our amazing furry friends!  We are a small rescue organization that saves dogs and cats of all ages from high kill shelters.

Meet Samantha who delivered eight puppies at the shelter.  She was an excellent momma. A mom with her large family has no chance in a shelter. MAS Rescue agreed to save her and her family. Once she arrived it was obvious, Samantha was quite ill. She tested positive for life threatening heartworms and had an upper respiratory infection. Despite her poor start in life, she is a doll and ready to begin anew. Samantha will need an experienced handler, someone willing to attends obedience classes with her. This will solidify the bond between owner and pet. She does have a good prey drive and would make an excellent Search and Rescue dog. (No cats or other small animals). 

Samantha is a medium sized dog, who is approx 3-5 years old.  She is spayed, vaccinated and treated for her heartworms. She can't wait to begin her new life, and never look back.
