Police Search for Suspect in Two Overnight Burglaries

A suspect is still at large in two incidents, one a burglary, the other a sexual assault, at Catherine Avenue and Duvall Highway in Pasadena.

A community message has been issued by the by the Anne Arundel County Police Department, Eastern District.

At least two overnight burglaries in the Catherine Avenue and Duvall Highway areas of Pasadena have been reported. A male suspect was seen in a bedroom at both locations.

According to the report, on Thursday at 2:52 a.m. Eastern District officers were called to the 7800 block of Centergate Court in Pasadena in reference to a burglary that had just occurred.

The victim reported that she awoke to find a male subject in her bedroom. The victim yelled and the suspect fled the residence. Officers arrived within two minutes and a search was instituted by patrol officers and a K9 unit.

While the search was in progress, at 3:41 a.m. police were called to the nearby 700 block of 204th Street, also in Pasadena, for a burglary and a sexual assault that had just occurred.

The victim, an adult female, reported that she had awoken to find an unknown subject touching her. The suspect then fled. Again a large area search was instituted. The suspect was not located.

It is believed at this time the two crimes are related. The investigation is ongoing and police are pursuing viable leads. The suspect is described as a white male with a thin build, wearing a black hoodie with writing on it.

Citizens are reminded to always lock their doors and windows before going to bed. Also, use of exterior lighting can be helpful in deterring criminal activity. Anyone who may have seen this subject in the area is urged to contact detectives at Eastern District 410-222-6145.
