Police Investigate Shooting in Millersville

A 25-year-old man was shot while driving his car through the intersection of Veterans Highway and Harpers Mill Road in Millersville just before 3 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department.

Officers spoke to the man who said he saw another man standing on the corner of the intersection but did not see a weapon. The man told police he heard a shot and realized he had been struck in the upper extremity, according to a news release.

The man was transported to the Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, treated for injuries that were not life-threatening and released, according to police.

The incident is being investigated by police.
