Holiday Happenings This Weekend

This weekend, celebrate the arts at Severna Park High School and drop-off a donation for Giving Back, Linda's Legacy at Homestead Gardens.

What do the holidays sound like? This weekend offers several chances to find out with a variety of Christmas concerts. Santa and Elvis will also make appearances around the region. What are you up to this weekend?

What:

Find out what's happening in Severna Parkwith free, real-time updates from Patch.

When/Where: 7-9:30 p.m.,  , 60 Robinson Rd.

Why go: Enjoy jazz and chorus ensembles, piano, dance performances and more.  There will also be a silent auction.  Every guest will be able to take home a piece of artwork done by SPHS students.

Cost: $10

What:

When/Where: 3- 7 p.m. Saturday, noon-5 p.m. Sunday, 522 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park.

Cost: Donation for the homeless.

Why go: The group is requesting donations of: 

  • All ages/both genders -new/gently used winter clothes, shoes,
  • new baby items,
  • blankets,
  • new toys
  • fresh fruit (preferably clementines)

What: Breakfast with Santa at CAT South

When/Where: 9-11 a.m. Saturday at , 201 Central Ave., Edgewater

Why go: The students and staff at CAT South invite children to have breakfast with Santa Claus. They will have reindeer games, crafts and face painting, plus a professional portrait with Santa will be available.

Cost: $7 per child

What:

When/Where: 2-4 p.m. Saturday at the Village at Waugh Chapel, 1326 Main Chapel Way, Gambrills

Why go: Enjoy the music of local music legend Dr. Phillip Butts and the Sunset Band, who will perform classic and contemporary jazz and R&B. The Piney Orchard Chorale will perform holiday songs.

When/Where: 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Unitarian Universalist Church of Annapolis, 333 Dubois Rd., Annapolis

Why go: Enjoy the classical sounds of Christmas by performers who have taken the stage at Carnegie Hall, New York City Opera and Kennedy Center. You'll be having fun while benefitting the programs and ministry of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Annapolis.

Cost: $15

What:

When/Where: 10 a.m. Saturday at 1319 Edna Road, Pasadena

Why go: There's a wide variety of crafted offerings available. Come see if there's anything you'd like.

Why go: Enjoy an Elvis-themed night out with a performance from Johnny Seaton. The night features a dancing and an Elvis-inspired menu.
