Readers' Choice: Mother's Day Brunch at Brian Boru

Brian Boru is where many locals will take their mothers on Sunday for brunch.

Your mother doesn't have to be Irish to enjoy the spread waiting at Brian Boru Irish Restaurant and Pub on Mother's Day. The restaurant and pub is the winner of the Patch Readers’ Choice contest for the best place for Mother's Day brunch in Severna Park.

Brian Boru regularly offers a Sunday brunch, but the Mother’s Day brunch from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. will feature some special items. The cost is $19.95 for adults and $9.95 for children younger than age 10.

"On Mother’s Day, we do even more by offering a carving station with leg of lamb, top round roast and slow-roasted turkey," said Jeffrey Burgess, general manager.

The buffet will offer a variety of fresh fruits; Caesar, cucumber and tomato salads; sausage and peppers; corned beef and potato hash. Adding to that is a selection of pastries, muffins, and buns, breakfast cereals, pancakes, Gaelic toast, scrambled eggs, smoked bacon, shepherd’s pie, eggs Benedict, chicken, biscuits and creamed chipped beef.

The Chef's Choice is traditional bread pudding, assorted desserts and more. The patio will be open on Sunday and there will be a tent next to the patio for extra seating.

There is also a special Mother's Day dinner menu starting at 4 p.m. and reservations are recommended.

"I’m very proud of the work we do for our customers by providing them a great experience, food, drink and entertainment during their visit,” Burgess said. “Brian Boru Irish Restaurant and Pub is proud to be in part of the locally owned Severna Park business network and support our local community activities."
