Wienermobile Pays a Visit to Giant Food on Valentine's Day

It wasn't all about hearts on Feb. 14, hot dogs played a 'roll' too.

Instead of a giant bouquet of flowers or an oversized heart-shaped box of candy to signify it was Valentine's Day at the Giant Food Store in Severna Park, it was the famous Oscar Mayer  Wienermobile, parked gracefully along one of the outside entrances of the store. Instead of giving out candy hearts, the crew were dispensing wiener dog whistles to those who paid a visit inside the massive hot dog shaped vehicle touring the country.

Inside the cavernous mobile, love songs were playing in the background but that was the only indication that love was in the air- otherwise, it was all about "putting on the mustard" according to Wienermobile "hotdogger" Tera Geishauser.

Explaining her role outside of giving tours of the unusual and eye-catching wheels, it about "talking to customers and getting them excited about the day."

Meanwhile, outside was her fellow hotdogger partner Brian Mallioux, was handing out "I Saw it!" stickers to children and helping moms fill-out "I saw the Wienermobile"  postcards that Kraft Foods will mail to whoever one wishes in the United States.

The perk to this job, besides driving this awesome vehicle, is traveling the country for one year, from June to June. "We are lucky dogs," quipped Geishauser, a graduate of Penn State. "It's a pretty cool way to see the country."
