between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. Temperatures will hover in the 30s this evening, then drop to the upper 20s by Tuesday morning. Winds will be from the northeast at 10 to 20 miles per hour.

In a statement released today, Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BGE) announced that it is closely monitoring the approaching weather system  as it is likely to cause electric service interruptions. The combination of ice and heavy wet snow will weigh down trees and tree limbs - many of which were weakened by last week’s windstorm - causing them to fall onto power lines and other electric delivery equipment and interrupting electric service.  Customers are reminded to stay informed on restoration efforts via www.bge.com, Twitter, Facebook and Flickr.
