AACC Battle of the Bands, Mardi Gras Dixieland Band, SPHS Fundraiser, Marathon and Music

It’s Thursday already, and time to become the event planner for the weekend.

Patch is coming to your rescue with a few perfect picks to prompt you to head out and experience a variety of things to do - all not far from home.

1.

Where/When: , Pascal Center for Performing Arts ,101 College Pkwy, Arnold, Sat., 8 p.m. - 11 p.m. 

Why Go: There will be easy listening to suit everyone's taste as six local bands take to the stage to compete in AACC's inaugural Battle of the Bands. This new venue will showcase a variety of local talent performing many types of music - from instrumental to folk and rock.

Pricing: $10 for general admission and $5 for AACC students with valid student ID. Tickets can also be purchased in advance in the Student Union Room 202 or at the door.

Where/When: Rams Head On Stage, 33 West St, Annapolis,  Sat. at noon.

Why Go: Celebrate Mardi Gras by listening to a special blend of jazz and blues at this concert that is open to all ages- familes welcome! 

Pricing: $20

Where/When: , 375 Benfield Rd, Severna Park. Sat. , 7 - 11 p.m.

Why Go: Because it is for the Class of 2011's After-Prom Breakfast. This Auction fundraiser will feature food, drink, a DJ and a silent and live auction with great donated items and trips.

Where/When: , 60 Robinson Rd. Sun., 7:30 a.m.

Why Go: If you like to run and enjoy the B & A Trail, this marathon combines a good run with a scenic route. The event is brought to you by the Annapolis Striders and begins and ends at Severna Park High School.

Where/When: 580 P Ritchie Hwy., Severna Park. Fri., 8p.m.

Why Go: Always a good chill after a long week. Sit back eat, have a drink and unwind. 

Pricing: No cover
