Crime Spree in Anne Arundel: 3 Places Hit Friday Night

Police say there are similarities in the three incidents that took place in Millersville, Pasadena and Glen Burnie.

Anne Arundel County police spent Friday night working a string of robbery incidents with similarities that suggest the same people are involved. 

In three separate incidents between 7 and 9:30 p.m., police said a man with a gun demanded money from a business. In two of the later incidents, there were reportedly two men with guns.

At about 7 p.m., officers responded to the Benfield Service Center on Veterans Highway in Millersville for a reported armed robbery. An employee told police a man with a handgun entered the store and took cash before running into a wooded area towards West Benfield Road. Multiple units searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

Officers later responded at about 9:06 p.m. to the Wendy’s restaurant on Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie for an attempted armed robbery. Police said two men with guns demanded money from a cashier, who fled from the restaurant.

One of the men reportedly jumped over the counter and attempted to open the cash register without success, and both men ran from the restaurant.

A short time later, an armed robbery was reported at the Dunkin' Donuts on Ritchie Highway in Pasadena. An employee told police two masked men with guns took cash and ran towards the bowling alley on Jumpers Hole Road.

Police and K-9 units searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects. Anyone with information may call 410-222-3566.
