Fall Fun, Pumpkin Picking Around Severna Park

Looking for a local pumpkin patch? Check out some of these spots in Severna Park and around the county.

Cool temperatures finally hit the Severna Park area on Tuesday and it feels as though fall is here to stay.

Autumn means many things—changing leaves, hayrides, fall festivals, Halloween and, of course, pumpkin picking.

Here are a few local places where you can celebrate fall, and find your future jack'o lantern.

Homestead Gardens’ Fall Festival

Homestead Gardens’ Fall Festival runs every weekend in October in Severna Park and Davidsonville. The Severna Park festival features educational seminars and workshops (find a complete schedule here.)

On Oct. 26, Homestead Gardens will host their Fall Fun Day for kids, which boasts a kid’s costume contest, moon bounce, face painting and pumpkin painting.

If it's a pumpkin patch you're looking for, you can head over to Homestead Garden's Davidsonville location at 743 West Central Ave.

Pumpkins and Fall Accessories at Diehl's 

Diehl's Produce stand is always well stocked this time of year with pumpkins, hayrides and other fall items. If you'd rather not go through the hassle of picking a pumpkin at a farm, Diehl's has wide selection of pumpkins ready for purchase.

Meadows Farms

Meadows Farms Nursery on Jumpers Hill Road also offers plenty of fall items. The store offers a wide variety of pumpkins, gourds, cornstalks and many other Halloween decorations that will satisfy any needs. Meadows Farms encourages shoppers to bring the whole family out for fall fun.

Knightongale Farm

Knightongale Farm, located at the corner of Birdsville Road and of Route 2 hosts a Fall Festival featuring farm animals, a kernel corn sand box, six-acre pumpkin patch, pony rides, three-acre corn maze and hayrides.

Dick and Jane’s Farm
