NAMIAAC, the Anne Arundel County affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is sponsoring a free presentation featuring Dottie Pacharis, author of Mind on the Run, who tells the story of her son Scott C. Baker’s tragic 13-year battle with bipolar disorder. It’s the story of a suicide that proper treatment would have prevented.
Following Dottie’s presentation, a panel of AA County leaders, including representatives from Anne Arundel Medical Center and Baltimore-Washington Medical Center, schools, churches and the community will discuss suicide prevention, crisis-response programs and resources for families in this county.
