Photos: With Help from SP Community, Guatemala Clinic Gets Roof

In April, the Good Neighbors Group hosted a quarter auction to raise funds for a medical clinic in Nueva San Jose, Guatemala.

The event and less than a month after the auction, the clinic has a roof.

The Good Neighbors Group, founded by Severna Park resident Julie Shay, is a local organization that helps community members in need. With help from local businesses, Shay organized a quarter auction on April 19 that raised funds for the medical clinic.

When finished, the clinic will serve about 10,000 people.
