Car Wash Saturday to Support Severna Park’s WoodsWorkers

Have your car washed to help WoodsWork youth raise money for mission trip in June.

OK, it’s not summer yet but 120 high school students from Severna Park have it on their minds as they prepare to brave the forecasted rain showers and chilly weather on Saturday (May 14) when they hope to wash about 600 cars.

The fundraiser is for WoodsWork, a youth planned and youth led summer mission trip to build homes for disadvantaged families.

The high school youth will be leaving Woods Church and driving to Twinsburg, OH on June 23 to build three homes in nine days.  The money raised from the car wash, the only fundraiser to help support the trip, will pay for transportation, food and other expenses.

 WoodsWork is a youth-planned, youth led mission trip of. Now in its 27th year, WoodsWork is comprised of 120 high school youth and 40 advisors who will all bring various talents and energy to Twinsburg, Ohio’s Habitat for Humanity Chapter to build three houses in nine days in June this year.
