Nels Cross, Neighbor

Nels is a life long resident of Anne Arundel County.  After growing up in Millersville, Nels lived in Pasadena for several years before moving to Cape St. Claire in 2003. Nels met his wife, Lynn, at Severna Park High School in 1986, and the couple married in 1995.  Nels and Lynn have two children, one in high school and the other in elementary school. Nels is a graduate of the University of Baltimore with a degree in Business Administration, and has attempted to start MBA work on several occasions, without much success.  During the day, Nels works for a contractor who provides commuter transportation in the Washington, DC area.  When not at work, lacrosse practices, or dance recitals, you can find Nels serving as an Elder for Centerpoint Church in Annapolis.<br><br>Nels has had a lifelong interest in photography which began as a child helping his father develop black and white photographs in his father&#39;s in-home darkroom. That interest was energized in 2008 when Nels received a Canon G9 Powershot camera as a Christmas gift from Lynn. Since then he&#39;s managed to snap the shutter more than 2500 time searching for the perfect shot, most of which have since been deleted. Nels finds inspiration in photographing nature, particularly the waterways and nautical scenes that make the peninsula a desirable place to live and raise a family.
