Leslie Brown, Neighbor

I am very excited to be a new contributor to the Severna Park Patch Blog.  I will be writing a lot about our schools and parenting in general but also look for a sprinkle of humor from lessons learned in running a small business, being a wife, raising 2 teenagers and owning 2 dogs.

 I am a past President of both Severna Park MS and Folger McKinsey ES PTO.  I am involved with CAC (Citizens Action Committee) and try to stay current on what is happening locally with our county government.  My husband would say that I have inability to keep my hand down and my mouth shut when volunteers are needed - I would say instead, that I want to be involved with the things that matter most to our family.  (You can read control freak into that as well!)

 When I am not volunteering or taking care of my family I am a glass artist running a small business – Designs by Leslie.  I do a lot of work with wine bottles, so any rumors you may have heard from the recycling people are untrue.  I do not drink <i>that</i> much wine.

I look forward to interacting with you and writing about what matters most to you.  I apologize in advance to my family as they usually end up the victims of my tongue and cheek humor when giving examples.
