Elita is a senior who has been writing since she was twelve years old and wrote book reviews for teenagers for the Enoch Pratt Free Library. She has been writing articles in dance magazines and online sites since 1990. Her articles are read by dancers from all over the USA and even Hawaii. The articles encourage, inspire and embolden everyone to learn to ballroom dance regardless of their 'now' age. Ballroom dancing is good for the heart, mind, body and for the social atmosphere one gets from accomplishing this delightful hobby.

Elita is a wife, mother to a son and daughter, a mother-in-law and a grandmother to three handsome grandsons and one beautiful granddaughter. At the age of almost thirty-four which was quite old in those days, she went back to get a college education and was the 'old lady' in a class of teens. She graduated with honor from Catonsville Community College and it took five years because of her young children, ailing mom and home duties. She went on to Towson University after CCC.

In the next few weeks, two of her ballroom dancing articles will be used as a classroom text for the students in a Wellness Educator's class to encourage everyone to go out and do things even if you are a senior. This will be given by Steven Behr, the educator in Steilacoom, Washington State. He has been reading her articles since 1990 and also on the internet in the HuntValley Cockeysville Patch and chose a recent set of two of them to use in his classroom. Elita is honored to have these Patch articles giving insight to seniors on life and ballroom dance..
