Carly McGee Wyman, Neighbor

She has contributed to local publications like <i>The Diamondback, The Capital-Gazette</i> and <i>What&#39;s Up? Magazine</i>. After college, she jetted off to New York City to further her journalism career. Her work has been featured in national/international publications like <i>FHM Magazine, Eurotuner Magazine </i>and <i>Performance VW Magazine. </i>She missed home while up in the Big Apple so she came back to the mid-Atlantic and continued her journalistic endeavors. Concurrently, she managed to broaden her repertoire to include marketing during her time at 42 Draft Designs as Sales &amp; Marketing Manager and the Maryland Science Center as Promotions Coordinator.

Whenever possible, Carly chooses feature stories over hard news because she enjoys writing pieces that people <i>want</i> to read rather than pieces people feel <i>obligated</i> to read. She believes there is enough negative in the world and she would rather cover the positive aspects of life, especially at the community level. Some of her favorite subjects are pets, food, Mom n&#39; Pop establishments, seasonal events and charity events – anything that promises to warm the heart. A native of Crownsville, Carly is excited to join the Patch team and show the world how great this little corner of the world can be.
