Oak Hill Elementary Home to Super Ravens Fan

The school’s custodian Mike Duvall wears purple everyday and leads the students in Ravens cheers.

If you were to walk by the cafeteria at Oak Hill Elementary on a Friday you would hear cheers and yells of excitement and witness a sea of purple. If you stayed for the dismissal you would hear a Ravens cheer performed by eager students along with a loyal and loveable custodian. Dubbed by parents, students and teachers as a die-hard Ravens fan, 11-year custodian Mike Duvall leads the charge of Ravens excitement at Oak Hill “I wear purple every day, 24/7. Super Bowl Sunday Serves SPAN

On Sunday, the West Severna Park neighborhood scored 1,000 donations for Serving People Across Neighborhoods.

"On Super Bowl Sunday, West Severna Park donated more than 1,000 items of food to Serving People Across Neighborhoods (SPAN). "The neighborhood was divided into teams of Patriots and Giants and folks competed to get the most items! Neighbors who donated got a balloon placed outside their home to recognize the folks who gave to such a great cause. "Clement Hardware and Severna Park Veterinary Hospital sponsored the event. Neighborhood kids of all ages came out to help. Elementary and middle school children went door-to-door collecting items while the high school kids acted as runners to take heavy loads from helping hands." *Submitted to Patch by Margaret Sullivan.
