'Not a Reckless Daredevil': Stuntman describes life
Severna Park High School graduate worked in China, now hopes for Hollywood.
Sword-fighting? Jumping off of buildings? Being set on fire? It's all in a day's work for this local stuntman. Over the last eight months, 24-year-old Rich Thompson, a Severna Park High School graduate, has been living and working in Dalian, China as a stuntman/actor in a theme park's live-action stunt show. "They called me a 'ground-pounder,'" Thompson said. "I was the guy that did all the hand-to-hand fighting. I'm the guy that got tossed onto the concrete and then had to get back up again."
