Football Pregame: Severna Park High Hosts Annapolis

The Falcons will host the Annapolis Panthers Friday night in Severna Park.

The Severna Park High Falcons will take on a winless Annapolis High football team Friday night at 6:30 p.m. in Severna Park. The Falcons are coming off a crushing overtime loss to Old Mill last week. And the Panthers are looking to earn their first win of the season. In the opening week of high school football, Severna Park defeated Glen Burnie 33-11 while Annapolis fell to Arundel 42-6. Last week, the Panthers suffered a 41-0 shellacking to Meade. Annapolis may be slightly overmatched in the Severna Park game as well, but will be looking to earn its first win of the season. Falcon Recap: Results From SPHS Sporting Events

The field hockey team defeated Fallston High School, while the football team fell to Old Mill in overtime.

In case you missed any of the Severna Park High School athletics action last week here's a rundown of the results. Field hockey After suffering their first loss of the season to Broadneck, the varsity field hockey team defeated Harford County foe Fallston 2-1 on Saturday. According to The Baltimore Sun, the Falcons were led by goals from Adley Beairsto and Sam Slattery. The team will take on Arundel at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Football The Falcon football team fell to Old Mill 20-14 in overtime Friday evening. Severna Park will take on a winless Annapolis High School Friday night in the Falcons first home game of the season. Boys soccer The varsity boys soccer team defeated St. Mary's 4-0 Friday evening.
