Mike Dennin is a senior tight end for the Severn School's football team.

Severna Park Patch: What is your fondest Severn football memory? Mike Dennin: I think the beginning of this season. Unfortunately, I got injured last year during the first game and missed the season. Sophomore year we got blown out by every team, but this year, to start off as well as we have, it means a lot to the school and the football program. Severna Park Patch: What is your favorite professional football team? Who is your favorite player and why? Dennin: The Baltimore Ravens, and I have to go with Ray Lewis. Jack Treanor is a senior defensive tackle for the Severn School's football team.

Patch stopped by Severn School’s football practice and talked to senior defensive tackle Jack Treanor about football, school and his plans for the future. Severna Park Patch: What is your fondest Severn football memory? Jack Treanor: Probably last year being able to work behind our starting left tackle Jack Cauley. He taught me everything he knew. I play left tackle this year, he was my mentor and teacher. I have used a lot of stuff he taught me last year and this year. Severna Park Patch: What is your favorite professional football team? Who is your favorite player and why? Treanor: The Baltimore Ravens and I idolize Haloti Ngata. He is a force on the defensive line and he is huge. He is fun to watch. Severna Park Patch: What is your fondest Severn football memory? David Watt: I have to say my favorite football memory was making the state championships last year. Although we didn’t win, it was the biggest deal in my football career and I was so pumped. We worked hard to achieve a winning season and we were ready to go. Football: Severn Gunning For State Championships

After losing in the MIAA C Conference Championship last year, the Severn Football team is looking to head back to the title game.

After going 8-3 last season and making an appearance in the MIAA C Conference Championship game, the Severn football team is looking to finish this season with a victory. “We absolutely want to win this year,” said senior tight end Mike Dennin. “It was a really tough loss last year. But there is no looking back. You have to move forward and focus on the year coming up. We are going to build off that championship run we had last year, but this time we are going to finish it up and win.” Despite defeating St. Francis 33-0 during the regular season last year, the Admirals were unable to top them during the championship game. Severn fell to the Panthers 34-17 in the conference championship. “This year we want to win the championship,” said …
