Update: Route 2 Reopened After Tractor Trailer Accident

Route 2 at Route 10 in Pasadena closed for over five hours after a tractor trailer detached and leaked fuel on the road Tuesday afternoon.

UPDATE (9:05 p.m.)—Route 2 at Route 10 in Pasadena is now reopened to all traffic, according to Anne Arundel County Police. UPDATE (4:36 p.m.)—A tractor trailer leaked 8,500 gallons of fuel onto maryland Route 2 (Ritchie Highway) near Maryland Route 10 on Tuesday afternoon, forcing road closure in both directions, according to an Anne Arundel County Fire Department spokesman. Battalion Chief Steve Thompson said southbound Route 2 is closed up to Jumpers Hole Road, and is expected to remain closed for the next three to four hours.
