Three people were injured in the accident in Severna Park, where witnesses told police that the car was speeding before it crashed on Saturday.
A Pasadena woman was thrown from a Lexus sedan after it struck another car and rolled over on Ritchie Highway early on Saturday. The woman was reportedly not wearing a seat belt. According to Anne Arundel County police, the incident occurred at 1:20 a.m. Saturday on Ritchie Highway near White Road in Severna Park. Police said there is evidence to suggest that speed, alcohol and failure to obey a traffic device may have contributed to this crash. Fire officials determine the cause of a fire on Mountain Road on Monday was incendiary in nature, according to a release.
The Anne Arundel County Fire Department is turning to the public for help in finding a suspect or suspects involved in an arson at a building on Mountain Road on Monday, according to a press release. Between 4 and 5 a.m. Monday, a suspect started a fire in a building on the 2600 block of Mountain Road that is owned by Daugherty Funeral Home. The fire was quickly put out by firefighters, but the building had already sustained $125,000 in damages. At the conclusion of an investigation, fire officials determined the cause of the fire was incendiary in nature, according to the release. A teenager from Millersville who had been missing since Saturday has been found safe in Baltimore County. Anne Arundel County Police said that Jacie Pasta, 18, was found in Towson by members of the Baltimore County Police shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday. Pasta had not been seen since Saturday evening in the area of Jumpers Hole Road in Pasadena. Family members told police they were concerned for her safety because she required medication for an unspecified condition. Police said they were unable to provide more details about the case. I agree with you Charlene, to many people think that it wont happen to them if they drink and drive or not wear a seatbelt or now even text and drive....It makes me so angry to see this behavior and nothing seems to be done about it... I think if you get stopped once for a dui or dwi you should lose your license for a year or more.. I think we are getting to tolerant to this behavior... more ›
