Neighbors Haven't Seen Joseph Gill in More Than a Week

Attempts by process servers and police to find Gill at home have failed. He is believed to be responsible for Ravens no-shows at schools, costing the county thousands of dollars.

Fresh tire marks carve a path in a grassy right-of-way that Joseph Gill often used when exiting the home he rented on Whitehall Creek, in a picturesque setting of countryside in St. Margarets. The last a neighbor saw of him was about a week ago as he sped by driving a red Nissan Versa. Some believe Gill, owner of Odyssey LLC has reason to drive away fast these days, as his most recent venture in promising local school appearances by professional athletes has cost the county more than $14,000 to date, according to school officials. Owner of Company Behind Ravens' No Show Has History of Similar Incidents

A 2007 report from a Pittsburgh-based news station reveals this wasn't the first time he booked athlete appearances at schools, didn't deliver, and made off with the money.

The man who school officials said promised at least 17 Anne Arundel County schools visits from Baltimore Ravens’ players but didn’t come through appears to have a history of similar incidents. As first reported by Severna Park Patch Thursday, the schools involved paid Joseph Gill, owner of Broadneck-based Odyssey Group, LLC, to schedule several players to talk to kids about character building and standing up against bullying. In 2007, a reporter from WPXI—a Pittsburgh-based news station—spoke with the PTA president of a school in the Bethlehem Center School District in Pennsylvania who said she couldn’t reach Gill after he booked former Pittsburgh Steeler John Banaszak to appear at the school and the player never showed up.
