KFC Gone, But More Chicken Expected

After months of speculation, guessing and predictions by curious Severna Park residents about what will become of the former KFC location, the answer has arrived. Patch received word from a trusted source on Friday that the latest occupants of the former KFC location will still be serving chicken—but of a different variety. A Chick-fil-A representative has signed a lease on the property at 511 Ritchie Highway where a new restaurant will be built. The demolition of the old building and rebuild is expected to take about six to nine months. The lease is contingent upon getting all the necessary building permits approved, said the source, adding that this is the normal process and there shouldn't be any problems.
