SPHS to Undergo Emergency Drill Tuesday Students at Severna Park High School executed an emergency drill on Tuesday that dealt with an armed and dangerous intruder in the building. However, the drill is was unrelated to the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School last week. 2. KFC Update: Chick-fil-A Expanding Leelyn Drive Chick-fil-A has signed the lease to take over the old KFC on Ritchie Highway and now has to improve the condition of Leelyn Drive. Millersville Women Finds Home in Edgewater Bakery

After years of making scones as a hobby, Andrea Galdi has now turned her recreational activity into a business.

Millersville resident Andrea Galdi spent years making her scones simply for fun and for others to enjoy. She made them for her kids' teachers at Shipley’s Choice, Severna Park Middle and Severna Park High. She made them for sick friends, or family, or for someone who needed cheering up. That’s when she realized her scone hobby could be a business one day. “It was a total hobby but then people were like, ‘These are so good, why don’t you go into business?’” Galdi said. “The scones aren’t hard and dry. They are different because they are light and moist and they don’t need any additional cream or jams. They can stand alone.” So in 2007, when her kids were still in school, she started selling scones made-to-order and at farmers markets. It …
