Area Residents Head to New Jersey to Help, Again

Kristen Renick and Jeanette Middleton Sudano are recruiting volunteers to provide additional assistance to those impacted by Superstorm Sandy on Saturday.

After a week of collecting supplies for victims of Superstorm Sandy, and a day trip to help clean up—two Severna Forest residents are heading back to New Jersey once again. And they need your help. Jeanette Middleton Sudano said the supplies that were taken to Highlands, NJ, on Nov. 10 went directly to those in need. And the cleanup efforts on Nov. 17 were a great help. However, the Highlands community has called on her and Kristen Renick again and the pair is organizing another relief effort. “The clean up situation and daily routine the community faces continues to be enormous,” Middleton Sudano said. “They called and we are going back.” Middleton Sudano said Bowens Bus Service donated a 44-passenger van and now all they need are …
