‘Argo’ Wins Golden Globe, Nominated for Oscar

Argo took home a Golden Globe for best drama and Ben Affleck earned recognition for his directing of the film during Sunday night’s Golden Globes. The political thriller is also up for the Academy Awards' best picture nomination. Argo holds a special meaning for one Severna Park man. Lee Schatz, an area resident for 22 years, was one of six American diplomats hiding in the homes of Canadian diplomats in Tehran after fleeing the embassy as it was occupied by Iran.
