Folger McKinsey Elementary School families started their first day back at the newly constructed building on Arundel Beach Road in Severna Park on Thursday.
The chilly temperatures on Thursday morning were more like autumn for Folger McKinsey Elementary School students waiting at bus stops, and walkers who live near the school. It didn't matter though, as the Folger community was excited to be back "home" in their brand new building on Arundel Beach Road. "We are absolutely glad to be back," chimed a group of Folger moms who had just walked their kids to Folger from North Cape Arthur, located down the street. They all agreed that it was a welcome change to walk their children to school again. Folger was housed temporarily for almost two years at Chesapeake Middle School, off of Mountain Road in Pasadena while the construction of the $27.2 million new building took place on the original site. …
