UPDATED: Two People Die in Head-On Collision on I-97
Kelly Lynn Whitt, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene. Jianguo Pan, 54, died at the hospital. Police said she was traveling the wrong way on the highway when she struck another car.
UPDATED- (12:46 p.m.) - Two people died Thursday morning following a head-on collision on Interstate 97 in the Millersville area. Officials from the Maryland State Police (MSP) and Anne Arundel County Fire Department said they responded shortly after 1:30 a.m. Thursday to the area just north of Maryland Route 32. MSP said the driver of a 2007 Hyundai Accent was traveling southbound in the northbound lane when she collided with the driver of a 2002 Honda Accord. The driver of the Hyundai was Kelly Lynn Whitt, 25, of Pasadena, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Honda suffered serious injuries and MSP transported him via helicopter to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. Police identified him as …
