The weather According to The Weather Channel, there is a chance of isolated storms Monday afternoon and Tuesday. After that, things should clear up with temperatures in the low 80s on Wednesday and upper 80s toward the end of the week. 2. Molly Kabis, a senior lacrosse player at Chesapeake High School and Severna Park resident, recently won an award for her efforts in community service.
Patch visited Chesapeake High School to catch up with senior girls lacrosse defender Molly Kabis, who recently received an award for the work she does in Riverdale Forest, her community located in Severna Park. Pasadena Patch: Tell us a little bit about the award you recently received. Molly Kabis: Every year at Christmastime, a couple of kids in my neighborhood and I get together and collect clothes and food to donate to this huge program called Take Back Our Streets, which donates things to underprivileged families in Anne Arundel County. We have been doing it for six or seven years and donate like three trucks full of stuff. Severna Park High School spring athletes are off and running.
The spring sports season is in full swing at Severna Park High School where last week the opening season match ups in lacrosse, baseball, softball, track and field and gymnastics were underway. With wins from almost every Falcons team, the new season has gotten off to a good start. The Severna Park boys lacrosse team beat the South River Seahawks 5-4 in overtime over the weekend with UMBC recruit Avery Littlejohn scoring his second and the deciding goal with two minutes left in overtime play. Other goals were scored by Erik Schuh, Joseph Galdi and Tripp Fulton.
