POLL: Have Recent Burglaries Changed Your Habits?

After a string of car break-ins and a home burglary in September are you locking your windows and cars?

At the end of September, several cars were broken into in the Big Vanilla Arnold parking lot and a Severna Park home was burglarized.   After the string of car break-ins, Anne Arundel County police urged residents to lock their cars and reminded them not to leave valuables in their vehicles. Police spokesman Justin Mulcahy said there were four reported cases of vehicle theft the morning of Sept. 21, in which someone damaged and gained access to vehicles in the parking lot and took money and electronics. Furthermore, between Aug. 24-26 seven cars were broken into while they were parked in Severna Park neighborhoods. Police Urge Residents to Secure Vehicles After String of Thefts

Anne Arundel County police said they had four vehicle theft cases at the Big Vanilla in Arnold on Sept. 21.

After a string of thefts occurred at the Big Vanilla in Arnold Friday morning, Anne Arundel County police are urging residents to secure valuables left in their cars. Police spokesman Justin Mulcahy said there were four reported cases of vehicle theft on Friday morning. The thefts occurred in the parking lot at the Big Vanilla on Ritchie Highway. Mulcahy said someone damaged and gained access to vehicles in the parking lot and took money and electronics.
