Men Rob AT&T Store at Gunpoint

Police said the men took an unknown amount of phones and fled the area.

Anne Arundel County police are searching for two men who used a gun to rob the AT&T store in Severna Park Tuesday night. According to a release, officers responded to the AT&T store located in the 100 block of Ritchie Highway South at 7:48 p.m. Tuesday for the report of a robbery. Officers spoke to a store employee who said two male suspects entered the store and one displayed a handgun. The suspects then demanded merchandise and ultimately took an unknown quantity of phones. The two men then fled the store in an unknown direction, according to police. Several officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects.

Men Rob Millersville 7-Eleven at Gunpoint

Police say robbery occurred on Tuesday night.

Police said two men robbed a 7-Eleven in Millersville at gunpoint on Tuesday night and they are still searching for the suspects. According to an Anne Arundel County police statement, officers responded to the 7-Eleven in the 400 block of Old Mill Road in Millersville at 10:10 p.m. Tuesday night.  Officers discovered that two male suspects armed with handguns entered the store and demanded money. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and then fled the business on foot, according to police. A K-9 unit searched the area but was unable to locate the suspects. Both of the suspects were wearing masks during the robbery so a detailed description is not available.

Police Charge Man in Home Burglary

The incident occurred in a Severna Park home on New Year's Day.

Anne Arundel County police arrested and charged a Severna Park man after they say he attempted to break into an area home on New Year’s Day. According to online charging documents, Brent Gehring, 20, of the 400 block of Fairtree Drive, was charged with fourth-degree burglary and destruction of property. Police spokesman Justin Mulcahy said police responded to a home in the 200 block of Berrywood Drive at 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday after a homeowner said he came home to find someone in the back of his house. “He returned home and found an individual who may have been intoxicated in the rear of the house causing damage,” Mulcahy said. Police Continue Traffic Campaign After Streak of Deadly Collisions

Anne Arundel County police are executing a plan designed to decrease traffic injuries and fatalities.

Police across the state of Maryland are looking to take drunk drivers off the road as people celebrate the New Year. The holiday is annually one of the worst days of the year for drunk driving arrests. The effort comes less than a month after a hit-and-run accident on I-97 that killed a 50-year-old Millersville man. Wilmer R. Borgmann III, was ejected from his truck after a crash and was then struck by a vehicle that left the scene, according to police. Police are still searching for the driver. This year, Anne Arundel County had a devastating stretch of crashes that left five pedestrians dead and two more seriously injured in 40 days. Anne Arundel Police Heighten School Security After Connecticut Shooting

A gunman reportedly shot and killed 27 people at an elementary school in Connecticut.

UPDATE (4:10 p.m.)—In the wake of news that a gunman reportedly shot and killed 27 people at an elementary school in Connecticut, Anne Arundel County police boosted security at all public schools Friday afternoon prior to dismissal. According to Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS) spokesman Bob Mosier, a county police officer was stationed at every school during dismissal. He also said security will remain heightened as children arrive at their schools Monday morning. The shooting occurred Friday morning in Newtown, CT. Pizza Delivery Driver Robbed with Knife

Police said the robbery occurred in Millersville on Saturday night.

Police said a man armed with a knife robbed a pizza delivery driver in Millersville on Saturday night. This is the second reported robbing of a delivery driver in Millersville in three days. A driver was robbed in the 8200 block of Bernard Drive on Thursday night, according to police. According to a police press release, officers responded to the 600 block of Paddle Wheel Court in Millersville at 6:16 p.m. on Saturday for a reported robbery. Officers spoke to the delivery driver for A-1 Pizza in Millersville. He said he was making a delivery when he was confronted by a man armed with a knife.
