SP Teen Heads to American Legion Boys Nation
Solon Snider of Severna Park is one of two delegates from the state chosen to participate in the program.
Solon Snider, 17, of Severna Park is one of of 98 high school student representatives throughout the U.S. and two from Maryland, chosen to attend The American Legion Boys Nation, according to a news announcement. The selection is based on leadership skills, academic record and activity at American Legion Boys State. The American Legion Boys Nation program provides a week of government training in Washington, DC, comprised of lectures and forums with visits to federal agencies, institutions, memorials and historical sites, according to the news announcement.
