Those in need residing in the areas of Severna Park, Arnold, Millersville and the Broadneck Peninsula are served by SPAN, with a secondary area from Crofton up to Severn and Linthicum.

The Elks have many outreach programs such as Adopt-A-Veteran, a Drug Awareness Program in schools, volunteers who provide kindness at Thanksgiving and Christmas with baskets for the less fortunate, and an array of other activities that support the community. The Lodge is also home to numerous communiy fundraisers, banquets, prom breakfasts, wedding receptions, meetings, sports meetings, awards ceremonies, crab and shrimp feasts, bull roasts and other functions, all held in the 350-person hall available for rent to anyone. The Elks specialize in full in-house catering, with on-site kitchen facilities and a capable, cheerful volunteer staff. There is also a lounge, game room, bingo and an outside pavilion, as well as Sunday morning breakfast, Friday night dinners and Italian night. The Elks also sponsor a Cub pack and Boy Scout troop. The Elks meet on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm.
