Dan Bongino’s Home Burglarized Wednesday Night

A spokeswoman says computers, purses and a wallet were taken from the Severna Park home while Bongino and his family slept.

The Severna Park home of Dan Bongino, the former Secret Service agent who ran for U.S. Senate in 2012, was broken into Wednesday night and many valuable items were taken. Someone broke into the home, disarmed the house alarm system and took computers, purses, wallets and “anything valuable,” according to Bongino’s spokeswoman Karla Graham. She added that the break-in occurred while Bongino, his wife and children were sleeping. “We don’t know what is going on or who would have done this,” Graham said. “We are hoping by posting things that someone might hear something or see something.” Police spokesman Justin Mulcahy confirmed that Bongino's home was broken into Wednesday night. Police Chief Announces 'Voluntary' Resignation, Says Unrelated to Department Investigation

Anne Arundel County Police Chief Larry Tolliver announced his resignation Tuesday afternoon, in a letter that says the decision was not "stimulated" by negative claims about the department.

After a stretch of less than nine months heading police in Anne Arundel County, Chief Larry Tolliver announced his resignation Tuesday afternoon, as the county awaits the outcome of an investigation into claims of unfair treatment within the department. "I am resigning today because the department needs a chief who can focus solely on the department’s mission, something that is challenging to do in the current environment," Tolliver said in the letter. Tolliver's resignation is effective May 21. Patch contacted the office of County Executive Laura Neuman for information about possible replacements, but she has yet to respond. Ritchie Highway Crash Sends Man to Shock Trauma

Fire officials say the crash occurred Sunday evening.

A crash involving a motorcycle on Ritchie Highway on Sunday night sent one man to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with serious injuries. Units responded at 7:30 p.m. Sunday to a crash involving a motorcycle and car at Ritchie Highway and McKinsey Road, according to Anne Arundel County Fire Division Chief Keith Swindle. Ritchie Highway Crash Sends 3 to Hospital

Fire officials say the crash occurred around 11 p.m. Thursday.

Three people were taken to the hospital after a car crash on Ritchie Highway Thursday night. Fire officials responded to a crash in front of the Jones Station firehouse on Ritchie Highway just before 11 p.m. Thursday, according to Anne Arundel County Fire Department spokesman Lt. Keith Hamilton. Two people were trapped inside the car and were extracted, Hamilton said. In all, three people were transported to local hospitals with injuries that were not life-threatening.
