What's disappointing is that he is allowed to play! No excuse for laying your hands on anotherRead More person. Much less knocking you girlfriend out cold.
Gary Elwards July 24, 2014 at 05:49 pm
All depends on what you believe to be true. I have heard that his wife could barely stand up, wasRead More beating on him, and spit in his face. If all that is true (and none of us knows the whole story), then, yeah, I might overreact too. Especially if I had been drinking also. Does not make me a serial abuser.
MR July 24, 2014 at 06:19 pm
This was not a "mistake" on his part. He made the CHOICE to hit her, rather than removeRead More himself from the situation. So let's stop re-defining the word "mistake".

What total BS. This is an elective surgery has zero to do with equal rights. What's next yourRead More boobs/penis to small, so that surgery will be covered as well? Whatever the cost is we will all pay for it.

Honeygo Hal July 24, 2014 at 12:02 pm
As a former Colts' fan I get the anger that Cleveland fans may have. But even a cursory look at theRead More difference between the Modell family and the owning family of the Colts would reveal quite a difference. Art Modell left the name and all the history in Cleveland for the current team to use - in Indy, not so much. The Modell family has embraced the Ravens market and is highly thought of here as a result - in Indy, there are still issues with the family. I hope they throw the book at this guy for such a disgusting act.
Noreen Belzner Chauncey July 24, 2014 at 01:10 pm
I hope your lucky enough to pay the fine and smart enough to see what Art did not only forRead More Cleveland/Baltimore and the NFL. At least you got to keep the name "BROWNS". Your a disgrace to your team so don't ware the color's.

Are we sure he pee'd? He looks like he is struggling just to find his little guy. I am not sure ifRead More he could find it under that 10xl jersey and 350 lbs of fat.

Bryan- critical thinking should not be defined as displaying an ability to perform as expected. ItRead More should be analytical and improvisational. That, however, leads to students challenging their instructors and is time consuming. It also demands instructors with hubris. Thinking is also critical in areas other than math. I cede the point that I am not currently involved in the process yet have extensive experience dealing with the product of the system. I see no current evidence that there is any ability to problem solve in the education system. There is an ability to follow procedure as taught, not critique or improvise. Our foreign educated employees have much better skills in those areas.
art doyle July 24, 2014 at 08:09 am
runymede- if you have not proofread your work prior to posting, you have the option to delete andRead More resubmit.

Mike, just think about it What PRIVATE business do we have in Maryland? Under Armour, a fineRead More company. Do they make all their clothing in the US? McCormick - they package and combine spices and flavorings, often imported, and are thinking of moving elsewhere. Johns Hopkins, which researches many things for the government. A handful of bio/chemical companies - that often are bought out by companies domiciled elsewhere when they reach a certain size. Several companies that shuffle money around. Headquarters of several large defense contractors - mostly in Montgomery County, close to the federal money teat. Other than that, what? No large companies that MAKE things. Baltimore ranks as the country's largest branch office town. The state is a nice place to live, but not very exciting - except for the chance of dying violently. I'm a native, by the way.

Chrissy, do spiders cause you to become apoplectic? I imagine they woke her from her 81 degree oven.Read More What are you fretting over? The poor woman had no one to annoy with her racist rants for five hours?
Pam J July 23, 2014 at 02:37 pm
I think people are jumping to conclusions here. He apparently parked in a parking garage. Granted,Read More five hours is too long and he should just be considered a bad son, but he really didn't do anything illegal. Sure she was incoherent when the police first questioned her. She's 98 years old and was asleep when they started questioning her. How many of us make a lot of sense when we first wake up? My 83-year-old is just now complaining about being cold and I have the airconditioning turned up to 78. Older people can deal with heat a little better, apparently. I bet the mother was doing just fine until the "good" citizen decided she wasn't. But it's good that they called her son.

Support local farms! Buy at farmers markets or visit their farm markets if you can.
Kolo Jezdec July 23, 2014 at 12:55 pm
What Roger said. And there are plenty of places where you can "pick your own," so youRead More know exactly where the produce came from. No reason to buy produce in a super market during the summer.
Bob Higginbotham July 23, 2014 at 07:32 pm
If I recall correctly "organic" means they were fertilized with "natural"Read More compounds. Beside being cheaper, I think I prefer my consumables to be fertilized with nitrates, etc. that are made by artificial means. They are guaranteed to be pure without any chance of contaminants.

Mike July 23, 2014 at 08:57 am
And once again, that's the best surveillance footage they can provide?? In this day and age ofRead More high-def and the highest resolution cameras in history, and this is the best they can do. Sad. My suggestion?....hidden eye-level, high-definition cameras throughout the store, at the register and exit, and third party monitoring. These creeps would have been met by law enforcement in the parking lot or shortly after.
Mr. Wonderful July 23, 2014 at 09:06 am

Governor Martin O'Malley is meeting with faith-based groups to come up with solutions for sheltering immigrant children.
ABell July 22, 2014 at 01:43 pm
So sick of politicians using anything and everything to get them noticed. We should not even beRead More talking about this and would not be if our borders were as protected as the American people are made to believe. Our country is in great need, perhaps that 1% haven't noticed but children in this country go to bed every night hungry and homeless. I am sorry that these immigrant children are suffering in their country but until we take care of our own, I fail to see the rationale in taking on someone else's problems. We are fast becoming a country full of opportunists and let's not even get into how DUMB we are. Very sad....

I guess Marty wouldn't dare address a group that didn't share his same views. What a jack--s.
Buzz Beeler July 23, 2014 at 09:23 am
He can't take care of our own vets, launch a health care program and takes most of our hard earnedRead More money. Now he wants to take care of the worlds problems. As they say Martin, never pass up a good photo-op, especially on the backs of children who garnish the most press.

Not defending the cop, but why did Harvey stop his vehicle and get out and approach, no contact wasRead More made with vehicles, he should of just kept going. You, me and every person has cut someone off at some point in our driving years, whether it was by accident or purpose, you and everyone has done it. I know that intersection, it's a weird left turn and sometimes you can accidentally cut someone off which enrages the other person, Harvey should of ignored it moved on. Approaching a vehicle after something like that happens means you are looking for trouble, the cop should of kept going also. 2 egos who wanted fight after a Stupid game of Cat and Mouse and ends with one Dying. Ridiculous
Eddie Baier July 22, 2014 at 07:54 pm
If I remember correctly, the Sunpaper article, just after the incident, said that Harvey Jr. exitedRead More his vehicle with a weapon.

The Lawyers are the ones that will get 40% of that settlement. The Hospitals premiums will go up andRead More that cost will be absorbed by everyone who has insurance.. There was no harm to anyone, and I understand no ones face was seen in any of the pictures. So if you are in the middle class and see your health insurance premiums go up once again thank the trial lawyers. Funny how they can get away with it in a country where the laws are written by lawyers.... Kind of like "Hershey's" writing the dietary requirements, really doesn't make sense. .
