Funny because I was wondering if anyone else had the same experiences as me and it doesn't shock me that our family is not alone. We had a really bad experience with these people as well. I agree that the caretakers do care but they are understaffed and the really good ones have left. The owner is a putz and his daughter who has no credentials has way to much power and winds up driving the good workers out or firing anyone who questions her. This place is about money and the price increases and hidden fees are ridiculous. They tried selling us on how much the owner cares while we were signing up. he cares alright, about the almighty dollar! If you do put a loved one here make sure you have a family member that can stay on these people or your loved one will get overlooked. My suggestion. STAY AWAY.

This place is horrible. The problem is the management. The owner Rick is a snake and his minion Carolyn or Caroline who takes the contracts should be a used car salesman. In the past year 6 or 7 really great people have been mistreated and either quit or got fired. The caretakers there were really good and some of the ones still there are good but like I said these people get paid nothing and treated like crap and eventually quit or speak up and get fired. I can't say enough about how bad this facility is. They try to get you in the door with articially low prices and then you get fleeced. Please please please if you do decide to jump in this lions den, document everything and read all their fine print in the contract. Bait and switch is an understatement here and they are all about money and could care less about anything else. When my father was dying of cancer they were never anywhere near him and went days without even coming by the room. Hospice did all the work yet Kris Leigh has in their contract that as soon as Hospice is called the rates basically double!! Rates double and they ignore the paitent and let hospice do the work. I could go on and on. I am just hoping this review helps another family avoid what happened to us.
I wouldn’t recommend this establishment to my worst enemy! They are not professional, and understaffed; the employees are under-trained, and overworked. I knew of residents getting bed sores from not being helped out of bed, residents have “escaped” out of the facility without even being noticed…. The only thing that the owner(s) care about is putting money in his/their pocket!
Kris Leigh Assisted Living provides compassionate care while providing entertainment and fun for its residents. I would recommend the facility to anyone with an elderly family member they love!
My mother is still there (not for long though) and this place has gotten really bad really fast. I agree with other posters about the way things change and how you are treated. Their 2 best people got fed up with management and left about a year ago and it fell apart almost immediately. Steer clear
