I have know Dr. Hackett & Dr. Schmidlein for approx. 25 years. I was a patient of Dr. Hackett's as a child and now I am a patient of Dr. Schmidlein's &my three boys are all patients of Dr. Hackett. There aren't words to express my respect& love for them both. Dr. Hackett is not only extremely compassionate, and professional but she is an extension of my family. I trust her 100% with my children & her knowledge& ability to answer any questions I ever have puts me right at ease. My children affectionately refer to her as "Grammy Hackett." They talk over each other trying to get as much of her attention as they can. She cares about what their hobbies are, how they are doing in school, and never in all these years has she said "I'm sorry but I don't have time to talk today." When you are with her, YOU are her Only patient &she is fully present and focused on you.She is in my opinion, the best in pediatrics and I wish there was a way to recognize her on a list of Top Pediatrician's in the US! Dr. Schmidlein I must say,I respect you and appreciate you as a Dr. for your knowledge & determination to think outside the box when symptoms don't always fit the mold. You take the time to research.When I have had tough times medically along with raising young kids, just giving a encouraging word or making yourself available to see me with a packed schedule or calling me to save me a trip in has meant so much to me.
