A Glen Burnie man is facing charges in connection with a string of nine smash-and-grab burglaries throughout Anne Arundel County—including two in Severna Park, according to police. 

4. Flu Hits Maryland: First Case Confirmed in Child
State health officials announced Thursday a child has been confirmed to have the first case of flu this season in Maryland—about two weeks earlier than the first case reported last year. 

5. Fleet Feet Waiting on Permits to Open
The new Fleet Feet running store in Severna Park is hoping to be open any day now, but is still waiting on permits.
