Local Long & Foster Recognized for Community Service

Workers at the Severna Park office volunteered at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation's restoration facility earlier this month.

The staff of the Severna Park office of volunteered at the ’s oyster restoration facility as part of the companywide annual Community Service Day held June 6, according to a press release.

The was one of Long & Foster’s more than 170 sales offices to perform service projects within the communities they serve, Tim Blanchfield, branch manager and associate broker of the Severna Park office, said in the release.

“Our agents and staff assisted with sorting materials used by the restoration facility to build oyster reefs and set forms for the construction of reefs," Blanchfield said. "We built more than five dozen cases for the foundation’s oyster-gardening program, which grows oysters alongside volunteers' docks."
