Hospice of the Chesapeake Looking for Volunteers

Hospice has scheduled an open house for Aug. 17 to provide information for prospective volunteers.

The Hospice of the Chesapeake is on the lookout for new volunteers and has scheduled a Volunteer Information Night for those who may be interested.

From 7 to 9 p.m. Aug. 17, hospice officials will hold an informative reception for prospective volunteers at the hospice offices at 445 Defense Highway, according to a release.

Staff and volunteers will discuss the various volunteer opportunities available and light refreshments will be served.

According to the release, Hospice of the Chesapeake improves the quality of life for those experiencing advanced illness or bereavement through hospice and other palliative care, compassionate support and education.
