Featured Pet: Meet Dorie

Jennifer Haber, adoption coordinator for the Maryland Animal Sanctuary and Rescue (MAS), provided the following information to Severna Park Patch about this week's featured pet.

Look at this 1-year-old little darling! Dorie is a "Boxie"—a Boston terrier/dachshund bred specifically for that mix. She is so sweet and so ready to be part of your forever family.

She was purchased when she was a puppy and unfortunately, her dad worked very long hours and did not have the time to care for her. She was treated well but needed more attention and exercise! She gets along great with kids and dogs (loves to play) and is good with cats, too.

She is smart and eager and is energetic so will be a great companion for playful people who like to walk. She is house trained, crate trained, spayed and current on all vaccines and has papers.
