Featured Pet: Abbey

The Maryland Animal Sanctuary and Rescue will be a guest on Severna Park Patch each week by bringing a pet who needs a new home to our attention.

Maryland Animal Sanctuary and Rescue (MAS) is delighted to appear in the Severna Park Patch and introduce you to some of our amazing furry friends!  We are a small rescue organization that saves dogs and cats of all ages from high kill shelters.

The animals live with us in our home as foster family members.  This is a great way for us to get to know them.  If interested, please visit our website at www.MASRescue.org and click on "Adopt Here." You can check out all of our furry friends by clicking on "Our Animals."

Meet darling 6 month old Abbey who was found wandering the streets of Baltimore by previous MAS adopters.  We searched for her family, to no avail.  We took her in and in no time, she was actively looking for love! She swishes her tail with utter delight, rubs against you and loves to be held. Abbey is a real head bumper, who also twists and turns her self upside-down to get your attention.   Abbey is a beautiful white kitty with a few dark marks on her ears, spots like second eyes on her forehead and a dark tail. What a wonderful personality; sweet and loving!

Enjoys toys and playing (aka basking in your attention). A snuggler extraordinaire and a terrific nap companion, Abbey isn't frightened of dogs or other cats, but she does like little getaways. She has a healthy appetite and enjoys her meals so much she purrs the whole time she eats! A talkative gal that is proficient with her litter box habits and  fully cooperative with nail trains and ear cleanings.

Abbey was Feline Leukemia/Feline Aids tested and all results are negative.

She is fully vaccinated and spayed and ready to be a permanent member of your loving, caring family. Please visit www.MASRescue.org  to learn more about Abbey and all of our other wonderful animals in need of their forever homes!  If you are free this Saturday, you can meet our pretty girl Abbey (and many other MAS dogs and cats) at BARCStoberfest (http://www.baltimoreanimalshelter.org/) in Patterson Park, Baltimore. (If weather permits us to bring cats.)  It's a fabulous time for the whole family!   Jennifer Haber
