Officials Warn Against Water Contact at 3 Beaches

High bacteria readings led to the warnings.

Anne Arundel County health officials are warning swimmers against water contact at three area beaches.

The Baltimore Sun reports warnings will be posted at Beverly Beach near Mayo, Arundel Road Beach in Edgewater and Upper Magothy Beach in Severna Park. The warnings are the result of two weeks of high bacteria levels.

Anyone who comes in contact with water at the three affected beaches should wash in warm, soapy water and wash their clothes, according to the report.
