SPHS Names South River Grad Head Boys Lacrosse Coach

Shane Hall will take over as the new head coach of the varsity boys lacrosse team at Severna Park High School.

The Severna Park High School athletic department announced Shane Hall, a South River High graduate and former lacrosse player at the University of Maryland, as its new varsity boys lacrosse coach.

Hall will be replacing former coach Larry Kramer who led the Flacons to two state titles during his tenure.

"I am very excited to have Shane join our Falcon athletic program and look forward to our boys lacrosse program continuing our 'tradition of excellence!'" wrote Severna Park athletic director Wayne Mook in an email to Patch.

Hall graduated from South River High School where he was a two-time honorable mention All-Met by the Washington Post, and a two-time second team All-Anne Arundel County honoree by the Baltimore Sun .

After high school, Hall went on to play at the University of Maryland where he was a four-year defenseman.

Pior to landing the job at Severna Park, Hall coached at St. Mary’s in the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference, The Capital Gazette reports.
