Severna Park Grad Named Vanderbilt Lacrosse Assistant

Julie Gardner will take over as the Vanderbilt's women's lacrosse assistant coach.

A Severna Park graduate has been named Vanderbilt’s newest women’s lacrosse coach.

Julie Gardner, a 2012 graduate of the University of Virginia, will now take over the reigns as an assistant at Vanderbilt, according to a release from the school.

Previously, Gardner served as an assistant coach at William and Mary.

According to a release, Gardner also spent four summers as the head coach for the SPLax Club 2014 side. While at Virginia, Gardner was the first recipient of Yeardley Reynolds Love Scholarship, presented to a deserving female student-athlete on the UVA lacrosse team.
