Local Lacrosse Players in Under Armour Tournament

Six lacrosse players from Severn School and Archbishop Spalding to compete first weekend in July.

Several lacrosse players from the Severna Park area were selected take part in the 2011 Under Armour All-American Underclass Tournament at Towson University on July 1 through 3.

The tournament features some of the best high school lacrosse players from around the country, giving the players an opportunity to show off their skills to a national audience, and college coaches.

Six players were chosen from the Severna Park area to be in the tournament. Five were selected for the Washington, D.C. teams and one was selected for the Baltimore team.

The players from Severna Park will compete against teams from the Northeast, South, Midwest, and West over the weekend.

Ryan Cochran and Conor Pecquiney, both from Archbishop Spalding High School will play for the Washington, D.C. boy’s team. Christina Del Sesto, also from Archbishop Spalding, as well Alexa Kunowsky and Kelly Reese, both of Severn School in Severna Park, will play for the Washington, D.C. girl’s team.

Lauren Lea, coming from Archbishop Spalding, will play for the Baltimore girl’s team.

The tournament will run from July 1 to July 3 at Towson University.
