Green Hornets Open Rugby Registration
For those interested in learning rugby, the Green Hornets is registering for summer now.
For boys and girls looking for a new sport to try this summer, registration is now open for Green Hornets summer rugby at .
Practice starts on June 5 with matches beginning the weekend of June 16. The games are played in June and July with a tournament the weekend of July 28 at Freedom Park in Sykesville, MD.
No prior rugby experience is necessary. Soccer cleats are required.

The games, held on Saturday mornings, run 40 minutes (four quarters) with seven players on a side. All players will have the opportunity to play.
According to the website, the age groups are U-9, U-11, U-13 and U-15.

This year, the league is allowing girls only ages 15 and 16, to participate in the U-15 age group (experimental), said coach Pete Freeman in an email to Patch.
